Coaching
After competing full time Ally naturally filtered into the role of Freeride Coach for the UK U18 Skiers competing on the Freeride World Junior Tour. Through this he has been able to draw from his passion & pass down knowledge & experience to the younger generation. He has been coaching the top Junior Freeride Athletes in the UK for over 5 years now & has been active even longer in Freestyle Ski Coaching & Development since 2004. He has been working alongside & in association with JT Freeski Academy , Snowsport Scotland & British Freeride
In 2019 he went down to Perisher, Australia (Epic Pass & Vail Resorts) for a Winter to work as Head Coach for the Freeride Development Team. During his time he was able to introduce the concept of training for Freeride Competitions to the younger generation in Australia in hopes that they will get the chance to start competing in New Zealand on the already developed NZ Junior Tour & try to begin building a culture for this in Australia. In his spare time he was involved in training the Junior Australian Skiers in Moguls to compete at Regional, State & National Championships.
